Every day, you’re bombarded with advice on what you should do to improve your health, fitness, and personal success. But rarely do people tell you what to stop doing—what’s truly holding you back.
Success isn’t just about what you say “yes” to—it’s about understanding that every “yes” is also a “no” to something else.
If you say “yes” to discipline, you say “no” to excuses.
If you say “yes” to action, you say “no” to procrastination.
If you say “yes” to your goals, you say “no” to distractions.
Your choices define your future. So what are you choosing today?
1) Stop Making Excuses – Say “Yes” to Extreme Ownership
You can’t achieve success and make excuses at the same time. It’s one or the other.
🚫 Saying “yes” to excuses means saying “no” to results.
✅ Saying “yes” to responsibility means saying “no” to victim mentality.
Think of school—you don’t get a grade for work you never turn in. The same applies to your health, fitness, and personal growth. “I was too tired” doesn’t get the job done. Stop letting circumstances control you. Instead, take full ownership of your actions and results.
📌 Guiding Principle: I take full responsibility for my progress, no matter the obstacles.
2) Stop Wasting Time on Screens – Say “Yes” to Priorities
In today’s world, we’re all guilty of spending too much time on technology. But let’s be real—are those endless hours on social media, TV, or memes helping you get closer to your goals?
🚫 Saying “yes” to mindless scrolling means saying “no” to productivity.
✅ Saying “yes” to meaningful action means saying “no” to distractions.
Sure, some screen time is necessary. But if you’re binge-watching Netflix or scrolling TikTok for hours, you’re stealing time from your future self. Instead, use that time for activities that build your ideal self—reading, exercising, learning, or spending time with people who matter.
📌 Guiding Principle: I control my time. My actions align with my long-term goals.
3) Stop Procrastinating – Say “Yes” to Taking Action Now
One of the biggest dream killers? “I’ll start tomorrow.”
🚫 Saying “yes” to delaying your goals means saying “no” to progress.
✅ Saying “yes” to immediate action means saying “no” to regrets.
Think about how many times you’ve said you’d start a workout plan, a project, or a self-improvement habit—only to push it off again and again. Years pass, and suddenly, you’re stuck in the same place.
Instead, write down what you need to do, prioritize it, and start now. Don’t wait for motivation—it’s fleeting. Success is built through consistent action, not perfect conditions.
📌 Non-Negotiable: I take action immediately—because waiting never gets me closer to my goals.
4) Stop Limiting Yourself – Say “Yes” to Your Full Potential
One of the most damaging mindsets is believing you can’t.
🚫 Saying “yes” to self-doubt means saying “no” to growth.
✅ Saying “yes” to self-belief means saying “no” to limitations.
I’ve worked with people in their 50s, 60s, and even 80s who refuse to let age define their limits. Yet, I also see people 20 years younger who have already decided “it’s too late” or “I can’t do that.”
The truth? You are capable of more than you believe. Your body, your mind, and your potential are not fixed—they grow with effort, persistence, and belief.
📌 Guiding Principle: I refuse to place limits on my potential. I am capable of more than I think.
5) Stop Getting Side-Tracked – Say “Yes” to Laser Focus
Ever picked up your phone for “just a second” and suddenly lost 30 minutes scrolling through nonsense?
🚫 Saying “yes” to distractions means saying “no” to your goals.
✅ Saying “yes” to focus means saying “no” to wasted time.
Those “small” distractions add up. Just 30 minutes a day of wasted time turns into 7 full days per year—that’s an entire week of lost potential. Imagine if you spent that time improving yourself instead.
📌 Non-Negotiable: My time is valuable. I invest it in things that align with my goals.
Who Do You Want to Become?
At the end of the day, your habits and choices shape your future. The version of yourself you become is built by the small decisions you make daily.
💡 Set Your Core Values & Non-Negotiables
✔ Extreme Ownership – I take full responsibility for my results.
✔ Intentional Time Use – I invest time in things that make me better.
✔ Immediate Action – I don’t wait; I start now.
✔ Limitless Growth – I refuse to set boundaries on my potential.
✔ Laser Focus – I eliminate distractions and commit to my path.
You have two choices:
Continue saying “yes” to the things that hold you back… or start saying “yes” to the habits, mindset, and actions that will create your ideal self.
