Welcome everyone!
As you may have picked up on now, I have gotten into making a lot of changes between the year 2020 and 2021. One of those is personal growth and sharing that growth with others. Sharing ideas, concepts, and interesting information that I continue to learn.
A book I began to read: How Not To Die by Michael Greger

I initially learned about Michael Greger in an interview podcast with Rich Roll. I began to research hi material and became a fan of his website: Nutritionfacts.org
If you begin to review his information, I highly enjoy that he utilizes research articles that back up any claims or points that he makes. Although I am still near the very beginning of this book, I am excited to continue with this 562 page book on nutrition.
Podcast I have been listening to: Ben Greenfield Fitness
Another very intelligent individual who uses peer reviewed research. What I like about Ben is that he is willing to constantly challenge any claims made and will question even those whom he interviews. I came across Ben Greenfield by listening to Joe Rogan and by fascination with some of his conversations grew from there.
The most recent podcast I listened to was “Clarity, Report Of Your Genetic Age, Death Risk, Gut Health, Ideal Diet, Exercise, Sleep & Much More”. Where Ben goes over his genetic panel, hormones, macro and micronutrients, lipid, metabolism panels and more. I would like to listen to this podcast again while taking physical notes to get a better understanding of some of the panel information. Not only whether something is high or low but what does that mean and what can be done appropriately to learn and modify one’s lifestyle appropriately.
Change I have made:
Working in physical therapy continues to be something I enjoy, although I recently moved to another clinic. This week will be the first official week of “float” where I will have the opportunity to work at several locations helping not only patients but possibly provide constructive feedback to help the clinics operate even 1 % better. Although consistency is great, learning to adapt to change is one way I can continue to challenge myself while still being able to make a positive impact on others.
I finished a journal I purchased and created my own. However during the trial periods I have realized there are several modifications that need to be made. Longterm the intention is to boost my productivity and focus dramatically compared to going day to day without.
Morning Routine:
I have found that my most productive days are in the morning routine. Not only have I found that to work for me but have also confirmed this to be true with some of the top performers I am aware of. As I let my productive routine fade, so does many other tasks in my life.

My ideal routine is as follows for example:
>4:00/4:30 wake up (typically no alarm at this point but 4:30 is when my alarm goes off)
>Get moving: Jog for 1-2 miles with or without the dog
>5/5:15: Read and write: I limit myself to a chapter unless it takes longer than allotted time.
>Workout 5:30-6:00 sometimes 5:30-6:30
By then I have spent time with my dog and given her exercise, learned something new, planned my day and set my goals through writing them down. Got a workout in to maintain a healthy functioning mind and body for longevity.
Quotes:
Eric Thomas: I suggest checking out this 11 minute video of Eric Thomas speaking at his 1% club talk.
(I do not listen to him daily as I used to but still refer back to him with I need to refocus)
Eric Thomas:
“I became a millionaire because I did what millionaires did”
“My success is in the routine”
