Reading, Writing, Learning, Teaching, Coaching, Living. These are all parts of a daily, weekly, monthly, annual process for growth. It is amazing how much information changes situations. I have dedicated my habitual life to learning many new things and developing into a version of my ideal self. If interested in learning with me, continue to check in and I would love to encourage discussion or questions on the subject of information shared!
Audiobook I am enjoying: Think Like A Monk – Jay Shetty

I started this audiobook after being referred to it by my brother Jerry. After listening to just the first two chapters, I was hooked. Hearing this audio book led to me going straight to purchasing the book in hopes to better share some of the concepts taken away from Jay’s story. I have already began recommending this book to a few people.
If you have been around me recently you may know I have been big on self-assessment, visioning, goal setting, and working towards self-actualization. In turn I have been sharing my growing wealth of knowledge with others, in hopes to make a difference in the lives of those around me for the better.
I look forward to physically reading to take in the information even deeper. Even so much that I asked my wife to read it with me to share ideas and concepts applied to our life.

Podcast episode I have enjoyed: “The Power of a Made-Up Mind” Brian Buffini
This is a podcast I too have began to share with others. I have listened to it perhaps three times since coming across it last year. I would say, I was able to successfully run 100 miles in under 24 hours, complete a half ironman without official training, get into a competitive healthcare program and become president of my cohort because of these concepts. The ability to make up your mind and stick to your commitments will not only take your life to the next level but brings others up around you. I have shared this podcast with four others recently, then they shared with a number of their friends.
Experience I enjoyed:
A connection I made recently led to a brief zoom call “with coffee”. This was a first experience for me but actually turned into having a great conversation. Never meeting this individual, in my mind I questioned “what am I even going to say?”, “If there are moments of silence, then what?” and many other concerning questions. However, we typically play worst case scenarios in our mind that never come true, even with interactions with other people Our conversation was full of questions that turned into sharing advice on life goals, seeking opportunity to help each other out where able. For this, I am excited to have a follow up meeting we scheduled next week.
Proud moments: Growing peas and more.

Yes, we were able to successfully harvest the rewards of our indoor garden. The first piece of produce was this single pea pod. For dramatic effect, I have chosen to put it into an appropriate container for presentation to the world.
The second experience was making a Chicago style pizza in my cast iron skillet. Which turned out to be one of the greatest gifts I have received recently. I do not believe photos do justice on this creation. My first attempt of this recipe turned out successful.
Email I enjoyed:
I get daily e-mails and one received that I wound to be a great read is from Joel O’Leary (5AM Joel)
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it.. is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”- William Arthur Ward”
“Let someone know the good impact they had on you.”
“pay it forward with an act of kindness”
“Be patient, give a second chance, like you’ve been given second chances.”
“Ask people around you, ‘what’s the best part of your day and why?’”
Questions and Actions:
Question: What is something you set out to do but did not stick to it? Was it a “diet”, workout routine, education program, business, hobby…. etc. Was this commitment something you had passion for? Did you have the knowledge to overcome challenges you will come across?
Action: Reflect on what stopped you from sticking to your commitment, how can you overcome the challenge that previously stopped you in your tracks? Instead of seeing it as “giving up”, look at it as a “pivot” or a temporary “setback”.

“Fear comes from a lack of knowledge. Accelerate your learning, eliminate your fear.” – Jay Shetty
“If you don’t sacrifice for what you want. What you want becomes the sacrifice.”– Jay Shetty
