This year has been a huge catalyst of change. My wife and I completing out first rental house flip. Added additional personal records to my list of fitness adventures, found a progressive ideology and approach to physical therapy with improving outcomes. currently completed 21 books and found some interesting podcasts that help take my business ventures to a higher level of competency. I am excited to see what the second half of the year brings for successes.
We are in the 3rd quarter of the year and I ask everyone to reflect on a few questions. Give yourself the moment to reflect on how intentional you are being with your days, weeks, months, and years. Reflect on what you have done so far this year? These things are your priorities whether it sounds ideal or not. Moving forward: being honest with yourself and those around you about your priorities of who and what is most important. We have the ability to make a conscious decision to choose what we do with our time. If we are not being deliberate with our time, our default will be our habits. Whether that be progressive or regressive to our goals.
After the first 6 months of the year:
- What are three things you have learned about yourself?
- What are three habits you have done on a daily basis this year that you have committed to?
- What are three things you would like to continue to improve over the next three quarters of the year of 2022?
- If this year has yet to go as planned, what are things you can control to be sure the second, third, and fourth quarter goes better for your future self?

Answering these questions for myself:
- What are three things you have learned about yourself?
- Despite how hard I think I work on a day to day, being more intentional with my time would continue to make more more effective.
- I need to take more ownership of situations around me, including being more clear with those around me about expectations.
- I require more forethought about what I need to do during unexpected opening on my schedule. Even if it is giving myself an intentional down time ( not defaulting to my phone).
- What are three habits you have done on a daily basis this year that you have committed to?
- Reading every morning
- Working out every morning, as more distractions will occur later in the day.
- Keeping track of my sleep both time and quality to find what positively and negatively affects this.
- What are three things you would like to continue to improve over the next three quarters of the year of 2022?
- Being more intentional with my available time to avoid picking up my phone as a default. Putting my phone away in another room and leaving it has became more consistent lately.
- I have began riding to improve cycling performance, where I can have measurable progress with cadence, output, and resistance.
- Seeking to have more experiences that can be had in life now, without becoming fixated on excuses as to why the experiences should be procrastinated. (The longer the wait, the more likely the experience will never take place.)
- If this year has yet to go as planned, what are things you can control to be sure the third and fourth quarter goes better for your future self?
- Learn from my experiences this past quarter and pivot my goals accordingly. House rebuilding projects take longer than thought with plenty of surprises. Eventually it will be an obligation to outsource more tasks as I work towards other tasks that cannot be outsourced yet. Fitness improves more with intentional training, sleep, and nutrition (this is ever ongoing fine tuning.)

Despite all the progress it is also also important to enjoy what life has to offer. Thus in celebration to signing over our first rental property we made a trip up north where we picked up some road fuel: Crumbl Cookies. I can easily look past most treats and deserts in order to save my taste buds for something of higher quality. These cookies fit the criteria to be worth the calories, especially post workout!
