The Weekly Upgrade

Reading, Writing, Learning, Teaching, Coaching, Living. These are all parts of a daily, weekly, monthly, annual process for growth. It is amazing how much information changes situations.

I have dedicated my habitual life to learning many new things and developing into a version of my ideal self. If interested in learning with me, continue to check in and I would love to encourage discussion or questions on the subject of information shared!

A quote I was moved by: “The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is tenacity”- Amelia Earhart

Amelia was “no stranger to disapproval or doubt.” She was known for defying conventional feminine behavior. As one could imagine in the early 1900’s, it was not received well in society that she had set out to be the first female to fly across the Atlantic, or to attempt to fly around the world. In her autobiography it is said: “world will always remember Amelia Earhart for her courage, vision, and groundbreaking achievements, both in aviation and for women.” Amelia made the decision to act despite seemingly the world against her, only to become one of America’s most iconic females of her time.

A Book I finished reading: Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

Here’s a book that I was able to read within 2 weeks and it was possibly one of the best time investments I have made, that changed my life (my brother Jerry whom bought me the book did in fact say it would do just that).

The take away from this book is a daily six step process called “S.A.V.E.R.S”. Which is taking a moment of Silence for a clear mind, Affirmations to change your mindset, Visioning to prepare your steps throughout the day, Exercise to improve your physical heath, Reading to learn something new, and Scribing (journaling) to better understand your thought process and is an easy way to track daily goals. I would even say I have used journaling as a part of my affirmations, daily learned concepts, give gratitude, and reflect on my mindset for the day. This book is definitely a great way to “upgrade your morning”.

Experience or event I enjoyed:

I have began mountain biking this year, setting out to Brighton Recreation trails with tighter twisting and turning. As well as seemingly a lot of steep fortunately short climbs, as I huff and puff to only be left behind from a friend whom I have met through biking. Fortunately I think the downed trees gave me time to catch up before we began moving and clearing the trail way for riders behind us. As leaving to trails better than we found it is a way to feel great for the rest of the day!

Goals I’ve accomplished:

1.) I learned how to brine a turkey, which turned out delicious!

2.) Rebalanced some investments including my 403B.

3.) I have remained consistent with waking up well before 5AM to ensure I read and plan out my days.

Questions and Actions:

Who or what are you grateful for in your life? If you’re unable to answer this off the top of your head, think about it going through your day. It’s likely you’ll find the answers.

Action: Let at least one person know you’re grateful for them today. Then explain why.

Have a great day!
